Raj co-founded New Markets Venture Partners in 2002 and is a Partner. Raj serves as a board observer for FortiusOne, Artifact Software and Innovative Biosensors. Raj also serves on the advisory boards of Arctern and M-Spectrum.
Prior to co-founding NMVP, Raj launched new businesses at Godrej-GE Appliances, worked on product planning at Federal Express, optimized product design at Kirloskar Electric and managed an educational services franchise.
Raj teaches at the University of Maryland's Executive MBA program. He is a TIE DC Charter Member and serves on committees of the U.S. National Science Foundation, Maryland Technology Development Corporation, and Maryland Israel Development Corporation. Raj graduated from REC Surathkal, India where he majored in mechanical engineering. He received a Masters in International Business from IIFT, Delhi and a MBA from the University of Maryland, where he was awarded the Lamone Entrepreneur Scholarship and the Dean's Scholarship. He has completed an Executive program in Private Equity and Venture Capital at the Harvard Business School. Raj is married with two children.
