Moodlerooms Names New Company President

Moodlerooms, Inc., the provider of joule®, a cloud-hosted, managed open-source e Learning platform has elected Lou Pugliese as President and a member of the Board. The selection is reflective of the organization’s commitment to securing superior leadership with deep experience developing technology for education. As president, Lou will be leading the company’s efforts in business strategy to expand Moodlerooms’ growing learning management solution market share.

Lou is an entrepreneurial business strategist with global vision and demonstrated talent for identifying emerging education technology trends and opportunities. With a successful history of driving the growth and success of multiple companies in the K-20 e Learning, Pugliese has held several senior executive positions, including Founding CEO of Blackboard, Inc. He has 23 years learning technology experience with major brands such as ETS, Telecommunications Inc., Scholastic Inc., and Turner Broadcasting. He is also a noted international speaker on technology innovation in education and has addressed a wide range of issues in education and education policy.
